A&R Manager — Artist Vanguard
Artist Vanguard is a fast-growing record label working across hard dance, electronic, pop, internet-driven music, and emerging online subcultures.
We are looking for a driven, organized, and highly competitive A&R Manager to help build and lead the A&R department inside Artist Vanguard.
This is not just a scouting role. We are looking for someone who can find talent, understand market movement, build systems from the ground up, and help turn A&R into one of the strongest departments in the label.
DO NOT APPLY IF:
• You only understand traditional A&R and do not follow internet-driven music movements.
• You cannot research TikTok, Instagram daily.
• You are not organized enough to manage leads, follow-ups, artist conversations, and deal pipelines.
• You cannot move fast, communicate clearly, and operate in a competitive environment.
MUST HAVE:
• 2+ years of A&R experience, OR 1+ year leading an A&R team.
• Good music taste.
• Understanding of TikTok internet music culture.
• Ability to research, contact, negotiate with, and sign artists independently.
• Strong communication skills to lead a team and communicate with artists, producers, managers, and internal team members.
• Highly organized workflow and the ability to use tools such as Google Sheets, Notion, CRMs, and AI tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Build and launch the A&R department inside Artist Vanguard.
• Create systems for scouting, outreach, follow-ups, deal progress, and signed artist development.
• Research TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube daily to identify viral moments and emerging talent.
• Reach out to artists, managers, producers, and creators to build connections and create signing opportunities.
• Help structure and improve the label's A&R process from first contact to signed deal.
• Align with the distribution and marketing departments to ensure releases run smoothly.
• Build relationships across the music industry and help Artist Vanguard become one of the strongest labels in the space.
COMPENSATION:
$2,000 USD monthly base pay + percentage on signings + bonuses for major signings and department performance.

• Fully remote.
• Asia time zone availability preferred.
