Is this you?
You doomscroll, and you have a guess why that one video went viral. You want to turn that habit into a real skill and grow into a professional in content and creative strategy within the music industry. If so, this internship is for you.
What matters most to us
• You know what’s trending on social media and globally, and you notice it before it’s everywhere
• You’re passionate about the music industry and want to build a career in it
The rest we can teach.
What you’ll do
• Help plan and create content for Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
• Brainstorm hooks, captions and scripts, and pitch your own content ideas
• Spot trends and tell us which ones fit the Academy and which ones don’t
• Help with light editing and visual work, and track what performs
• Help promote the Academy tools and products
What you’ll get
• Real knowledge, from me directly. I come from the marketing world and have worked across social media and creative with Grammy-awarded acts. I’ll teach you what I know about editing, visual direction, and the marketing psychology behind working with an artist or a brand.
• Carte blanche to be creative. The Academy is exactly the place where you can make mistakes, be a bit lame, learn from it and grow. We’d rather you try something bold than play it safe.
• A real account with real results to put in your portfolio
• Introductions to people in my network where they make sense
• A conversation about employment at the end of the internship, depending on your location and local laws
• Academic credit where your school permits. I’m happy to complete any internship paperwork it requires
Who we’re looking for
• A student or early-career person interested in social media, content or marketing
• Someone who actually uses TikTok and Instagram and notices what works
• Curious and willing to learn, with a good sense of humor, and not afraid of an edgy tone
• Comfortable with basic editing tools like CapCut
How to apply
Send me your top 3 favorite memes and one thing you’ve seen online that you wish you’d made (a post, a video, an account, anything with good taste behind it). No résumé needed.
