Position Overview
Miller PR is seeking a highly motivated, connected, and culturally engaged Senior Publicist / Account Lead to join our growing team. 
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and understands how modern publicity operates across traditional media, digital media, creator communities, podcasts, newsletters, and social platforms. We are looking for a strategic communicator who can secure meaningful coverage, identify compelling story angles, build influential relationships, and execute integrated campaigns that drive results. 
The ideal candidate is passionate about entertainment, music, culture, and media, has strong agency experience, and possesses an established network of media, creator, and industry relationships. This individual will serve as a key day-to-day lead across multiple accounts while contributing creative ideas, strategic thinking, and exceptional client service. 
This is a hybrid position based in New York City or Los Angeles. 
Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day publicity efforts across music, entertainment, gaming, lifestyle, and cultural accounts 
• Develop and execute integrated communications campaigns spanning traditional media, digital media, creators, influencers, podcasts, newsletters, and social platforms 
• Secure meaningful coverage across print, digital, broadcast, podcast, creator, and social channels 
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, producers, creators, influencers, talent representatives, and industry partners
• Develop creative story angles, media strategies, and campaign concepts that generate awareness and engagement 
• Create and edit press releases, media alerts, talking points, pitches, biographies, fact sheets, briefing documents, and campaign materials 
• Identify opportunities for clients to participate in relevant cultural conversations, trends, partnerships, and industry moments 
• Develop content and announcement strategies that support client goals and maximize visibility across earned media channels 
• Coordinate interviews, press tours, media appearances, launch campaigns, festivals, events, and promotional opportunities 
• Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, and status calls while serving as a trusted day-to-day client contact 
• Track campaign performance and prepare client-facing reports and recaps • Support influencer and creator outreach initiatives when appropriate • Mentor junior staff, coordinators, and interns while contributing to team development and agency culture 
• Represent Miller PR and clients professionally at industry events, conferences, showcases, premieres, festivals, and networking opportunities 
Qualifications
• Min. 5-8 years of public relations experience within a PR agency environment • Agency experience is required 
• Proven track record securing national, trade, broadcast, podcast, creator, and digital media coverage 
• Deep bench of established relationships across media, creators, influencers, talent representatives, and industry stakeholders 
• Strong understanding of both traditional publicity and today's social media-driven media landscape 
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic campaigns, creative story angles, and impactful media opportunities 
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation, networking, and communication skills • Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously • Strong organizational and project management abilities with exceptional attention to detail 
• Proficiency with Muck Rack, Cision, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other PR tools 
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for client events, festivals, premieres, red carpets, and activations 
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative agency environment and is looking for long-term career growth and advancement opportunities
**Preferred Qualifications **
• Experience working with recording artists, entertainment talent, festivals, touring artists, entertainment brands, gaming properties, or cultural campaigns • Existing relationships with top-tier entertainment, music, lifestyle, business, gaming, and creator-focused media 
• Understanding of influencer and creator partnership strategies 
• Korean, Mandarin, or Spanish language skills are a plus 
• A genuine passion for electronic music, dance music, and music culture is highly valued. While candidates do not need to come exclusively from the electronic music space, familiarity with the industry, key players, events, communities, and emerging trends is important given the agency's significant presence in the genre.

Candidates should be comfortable using social media platforms professionally, developing creator and influencer relationships, identifying content opportunities, and leveraging social channels as part of modern publicity campaigns. Applicants should possess an established network of relevant contacts across media, creator, and entertainment communities and be able to demonstrate how those relationships have contributed to successful client campaigns.
