Warehouse Supervisor
We are seeking an organized, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day receipt, storage, fulfillment, and dispatch of merchandise from our Austin warehouse.
This role is responsible for maintaining an efficient, safe, and orderly warehouse while supporting online store fulfillment. During non-peak periods, the Warehouse Supervisor will work directly on order fulfillment and daily warehouse operations. During peak periods, this position will supervise and coordinate a fulfillment team to meet order volume and shipping deadlines.
The ideal candidate can work independently, collaborate effectively with a remote team, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and confident leading others.
Responsibilities
• Supervise daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, fulfillment, and distribution operations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure merchandise is stored and labeled correctly
• Manage inbound and outbound deliveries
• Fulfill Shopify orders and maintain accurate Shopify inventory
• Respond to fulfillment-related customer service requests
• Coordinate, train, and supervise warehouse and seasonal fulfillment staff
• Monitor team performance, productivity, accuracy, and adherence to procedures
• Support employee evaluations and recognition in partnership with company leadership
• Implement and maintain warehouse policies and procedures
• Maintain warehouse security, sanitation, organization, and safety standards
• Ensure company equipment, merchandise, and other assets are properly maintained and protected
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of warehouse activities
• Manage warehouse supplies, inventory, and procurement
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and control operating costs
• Communicate regularly with remote team members and company leadership
• Work independently and make sound day-to-day operational decisions
Requirements
• Previous warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory controls
• Experience supervising, training, or coordinating team members
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively
• Strong computer skills, including email, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel
• Shopify or e-commerce fulfillment experience is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, multitasking, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with limited supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Availability to work extended or adjusted hours during peak fulfillment periods
Compensation and Location
• In-person position located in Austin by AUS airport
• Flexible work hours based on operational needs
• hourly at minimum $60,000 annually with many opportunities to make more
