Art & Creative Traffic Manager
“Art Traffic Cop” | Remote
We are seeking a highly organized, resourceful Art & Creative Traffic Manager to oversee the movement of creative projects from initial concept through approval, production, and delivery.
This person will serve as the organization’s “art traffic cop,” ensuring that designers, illustrators, poster artists, animators, vendors, and internal stakeholders have the information, feedback, approvals, and deadlines needed to keep projects moving.
The ideal candidate understands both creative work and project management. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects, personalities, priorities, and deadlines across merchandise, music, touring, marketing, promotions, gifting, credentials, advertising, and special projects. This is a remote position that requires proactive communication, strong follow-through, and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving creative environment.
Responsibilities
• Maintain the master art tracking spreadsheet and ensure all project information is accurate and current
• Track creative projects from concept and artist selection through contracting, approvals, production, and final delivery
• Move approved artists and creative partners to the Merchandise Director for contracting
• Manage and coordinate graphic designers, illustrators, poster artists, animators, and other creative contributors
• Assign projects, communicate expectations, establish deadlines, and monitor progress
• Traffic poster art, merchandise art, advertising materials, and other creative assets through the review and approval process
• Collect, organize, and communicate feedback between clients, artists, internal teams, and company leadership
• Confirm that final artwork meets project specifications and is delivered in the correct formats
• Identify delays, missing approvals, conflicting feedback, and other obstacles before they affect production
• Support the ideation and development of creative materials for advertising, music, merchandise, marketing, promotions, gifting, credentials, and special projects
• Work collaboratively with H&E team members to produce artwork, concepts, and mockups for clients
• Coordinate the production of merchandise, music-related assets, flyers, advertising materials, and special projects
• Use Asana effectively to assign tasks, track deadlines, document decisions, and maintain visibility across the organization
• Build and maintain workflows that give key company leaders clear insight into project status, priorities, approvals, and potential risks
• Create and implement creative request, review, approval, and delivery protocols
• Establish scalable creative processes for new business opportunities and existing clients
• Maintain organized files, project notes, creative briefs, approvals, and final assets
• Participate in weekly merchandise and art calls
• Participate in tour and non-tour marketing calls
• Prepare project updates and follow-up items before and after meetings
• Report regularly to key managerial leaders on project status, deadlines, workload, and outstanding decisions
Requirements
• Experience in creative project management, art trafficking, production management, or a related role
• Strong understanding of creative workflows, artwork approvals, revisions, production timelines, and final asset delivery
• Experience working with graphic designers, illustrators, animators, artists, printers, or merchandise vendors
• Strong proficiency with Asana, Google Sheets, Google Drive, email, and other remote collaboration tools
• Exceptional organizational and project-tracking skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to give clear direction and consolidate feedback from multiple stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding deadlines, file specifications, approvals, and version control
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative and responsive
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Experience in music, touring, merchandise, entertainment, or agency environments is preferred
Position Details
• Fully remote position
• Participation in recurring weekly video and team calls is required
• Work schedule must accommodate project deadlines, production needs, and occasional time-sensitive requests
• Compensation based on experience
