About Us:
Burwoodland is a nightlife and live events company producing nationally touring themed dance parties, including Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, Broadway Rave, Next Level KPop Rave, and more. Our mission is to bring fans together around the music, artists, and communities they love.
The Role:
We’re looking for a mid-level Marketing Designer who combines strong visual design with a marketing mindset. You’ll create work across static graphics, video, and light animation, supporting both performance advertising and broader brand initiatives.
Working closely with our design and marketing teams, you’ll connect creative ideas with campaign results. You’ll use performance insights to develop new concepts, improve existing assets, and keep fresh creative moving on a regular schedule. You’ll also bring that same creativity and care to projects across the business.
This role is a good fit for a versatile, resourceful designer with a strong foundation in static design, practical video and motion skills, and an interest in understanding why creative works. You enjoy experimenting with new tools and finding thoughtful solutions as priorities evolve.
Responsibilities:
• Design compelling static assets for paid advertising, marketing campaigns, social media, and brand initiatives.
• Edit video and create light animation or motion graphics across marketing channels.
• Partner with marketing and design to develop concepts that balance brand identity, audience needs, and campaign goals.
• Review creative performance with marketing partners and translate insights into new ideas, variations, and improvements.
• Maintain visibility into active ad creative, including how long assets have been running, and help identify opportunities for refreshes.
• Help establish a consistent schedule for developing and delivering new creative, proactively bringing ideas to the team.
• Create variations for testing, exploring different visuals, messages, and formats in partnership with marketing.
• Plan creative updates around seasonal campaigns, brand refreshes, and other business priorities.
• Take projects from concept through delivery, managing feedback, deadlines, and platform requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3-6 years of experience in marketing design, graphic design, or a related creative role. A portfolio showing strong static design skills, including typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Experience designing paid advertising and broader marketing or brand assets.
• Working skills in video editing and motion graphics or animation.
• An interest in creative strategy and the ability to explain the thinking behind your design decisions.
• Comfort reviewing performance data with marketing partners and using what you learn to inform creative.
• Proficiency in relevant design and editing tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, & Capcut
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in creative workflows, with curiosity and interest in discovering new ways to apply them across design, video, and marketing.
• Flexibility and adaptability as priorities shift, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and take a resourceful, scrappy approach to getting things done.
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working across different types of design projects.
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through, with the ability to take initiative and manage competing priorities.
• A positive attitude and collaborative spirit, bringing energy, respect, and a willingness to help to the office each day.
Nice to haves:
• Experience developing creative variations for paid media testing.
• Familiarity with advertising metrics such as click-through rate, conversion rate, and cost per acquisition.
• Experience helping a team improve its creative planning and production process.
How we’ll define success
You’ll produce thoughtful, on-brand creative across formats, build strong partnerships with design and marketing, and help create a more proactive rhythm for campaign updates. Over time, your work will reflect what we learn from performance while continuing to bring fresh ideas to the brand.
