About Us
Burwoodland is a nightlife and live events company producing internationally touring themed dance parties, including Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, Next Level KPop Rave, and more. Our mission is to bring fans together around the music, artists, and communities they love.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Intern who lives and breathes KPop to create content that resonates with fans, build our online community, and get fans excited about our upcoming shows.
You'll help shape our social media presence through short-form video, trend-driven content, and community engagement across TikTok and Instagram. This is an opportunity to turn your knowledge of KPop fandoms and internet culture into real-world marketing experience at a fast-growing live events company.
Students are encouraged to apply! This role is a great fit for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, short-form video production, and the live entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
• Pitch, film, edit and publish short-form video content tailored to KPop fans that turns online engagement into event awareness, audience growth, and ticket sales.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule, organize content calendars, and publish across relevant platforms.
• Keep up with new releases, artist news, fan discourse, viral moments, and emerging trends in KPop to inform engaging, shareable content ideas that build awareness for our events.
• Monitor views, engagement, shares, follower growth, and other key metrics to understand what's working and inform future content.
• Participate in on-camera videos, interviews, street-style content, and other creative formats when needed.
• Actively connect with fans in comments and DMs to build an active community around our events.
What We're Looking For
Prior professional marketing experience isn't required. We're more interested in your knowledge of KPop, your creative instincts, and what you've already done with social media. Personal accounts and fanpages absolutely count.
• Fan First: You live and breathe Kpop music and stan culture.
• Experience: You've managed and grown a fan account, personal creator account, brand account, or other social media page.
• Editing: You're comfortable filming and editing TikToks and Reels using CapCut, TikTok's native editor, or similar tools.
• Not Camera Shy: You're comfortable being the face of content and bringing personality to videos.
• Creative Instinct: You know what makes content funny, relatable, timely, and worth sharing.
• Proactive Mindset: You're constantly thinking of new ideas, spotting trends early, and looking for opportunities to make content better.
• Organization + Consistency: You're able to manage multiple content ideas and deadlines while maintaining a steady publishing schedule.
• Experimental: You're comfortable testing different formats, learning from performance, and adapting quickly.
Perks & Benefits
• Real-world experience: Get hands-on experience building a social media presence for a live events brand.
• Creative ownership: Bring your ideas to life and help shape how we connect with KPop fans.
• Industry exposure: Work alongside a team producing 100+ live events every month.
• Room to grow: Build your portfolio, develop your marketing skills, and learn how social media supports a growing live entertainment business.
