**Internship Overview **
Fat Beats is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Intern to join our team for a structuredlearning experience. This is a hands-on, supervised training placement designed to develop the intern’sskills in digital marketing. The intern will learn and participate in digital strategy execution, creative assetdevelopment, and operational workflows under direct supervision. Work assignments are designed aseducational coursework and are not intended to replace regular employees.
Areas of Learning
**Marketing/Digital **
• Study social media strategy across Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube - supporting development and execution.
• Participate in daily social media monitoring and engagement under supervision; learn to track and interpret performance metrics.
• Conduct audience research to identify trends and target demographics, and present findings.
• Build creative asset design skills (graphics, photo/video editing) for social and email that align with campaign briefs.
**Operations **
• Develop administrative and organizational support skills - maintaining internal release calendars and marketing schedules, monitoring deadlines and optimizing workflows - under direct supervision.
• Learn to organize digital asset systems and implement recommended improvements under staff supervision.
What We’re Looking For
• A genuine passion for music and a deep appreciation for the independent music scene, especially, but not limited to, hip-hop/vinyl culture.
• Familiarity with major social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, X (Twitter), Facebook and YouTube, and an understanding of their best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), Capcut, or experience with general video/photo editing and graphic design.
Program Details
• Eligibility: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university program and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship. Placement is for academic credit only; interns areunpaid and not entitled to wages.
• Schedule: Flexible commitment of 10–15 hours per week including weekly check-ins and progress reports.
• Location: The role allows for remote participation. Candidates based in New York, NY are preferred.
• Growth: Interns will receive direct mentorship, regular assignments and constructive feedback throughout the program, providing valuable industry insights and professional development.
