Data-Driven A&R — Trillex Music Group
Trillex Music Group is the umbrella company for our current and future sub-divisions. We focus on identifying breakout talent early and building artists in a digital-first landscape. We are 100% focused on virality over traditional, slow-burn artist development.
We are looking for an experienced A&R who is highly data-driven, chronically online, extremely responsive, and proactive in communication. You should understand what is happening in our scenes, recognize momentum early, and move quickly to turn opportunities into signed deals.
At least two years of experience working directly in A&R is mandatory. This is not an entry-level position or a passive scouting role.
DO NOT APPLY IF:
• You have fewer than two years of direct A&R experience. General music-industry experience alone does not meet this requirement.
• You have not signed more than 10 artists or deals in the past 6 months in the fast-moving internet music space.
• You cannot commit exclusively to the role, work Monday through Friday, and overlap with Bangkok working hours.
• You are unfamiliar with Brazilian Funk/Phonk, Hardtekk, Jumpstyle, and Hoodtrap, or are not actively following these scenes online.
• You rely only on personal taste and cannot support your recommendations with relevant data.
• You are slow to respond, communicate inconsistently, have weak organization, or are not fluent in spoken and written English.
• You are not confident contacting artists, following up, joining calls, and moving opportunities toward signed deals.
Must-Haves
Proven A&R experience
You must have 2+ years of direct A&R experience, with verifiable examples of artists, songs, or deals you personally discovered, contacted, developed, or helped sign. Be ready to explain your exact contribution and the outcome.
A genuinely data-driven approach
You must be comfortable researching, comparing, and interpreting performance data—not just sending links to songs you like.
Your recommendations should consider relevant signals such as streaming and listener growth, TikTok sound usage and user-generated content, engagement quality, and momentum across platforms.
You should be able to explain what is growing, how quickly, what evidence supports the opportunity, and why we should act now. Large view counts alone are not enough; you need to recognize real organic momentum.
“Chronically online” in our music scenes
You actively follow emerging artists, sounds, edits, creators, and music communities across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify.
You should already be immersed in these scenes and able to spot movement early—not only discover a record once everyone else is talking about it.
Extremely fast responses and proactive communication
During your agreed working hours, you must be highly reachable and quick to respond to both artists and the internal team.
You follow up consistently, communicate progress without being chased, and flag urgent opportunities or problems immediately. Finding an opportunity means little if slow communication causes us to lose it.
Strong research, outreach, and organization
You can research artists, verify ownership and representation, find the correct contact, and build relationships that move toward a deal.
You keep contacts, conversations, next steps, and follow-ups organized in ClickUp or a similar pipeline tool.
English, online presence, and availability
Fluent spoken and written English and an active personal Instagram account are required.
You must be available for a fixed Monday–Friday schedule with overlap during Bangkok working hours (Flexible for high performing candidates), plus limited weekend availability for urgent matters only.
Responsibilities
Scout early: Find emerging artists, unreleased songs, and viral records across the main social and streaming platforms.
Research and prioritize: Evaluate opportunities using music quality, measurable momentum, genuine social proof, clear ownership, and fit with Trillex Music Group.
Explain your recommendations: Provide relevant links, data, timeframes, and a clear reason why an opportunity deserves attention.
Move opportunities forward: Contact artists and managers, follow up consistently, build trust, and progress qualified opportunities toward calls and deal discussions.
Keep the team informed: Maintain an accurate pipeline, document next steps, and communicate updates and blockers promptly.
Support the handoff: Coordinate contract information, release handoffs, and artist communication after signing.
Contribute to results: Work toward the team goal of signing 10–15 strong tracks per month, with quality taking priority over volume.
Compensation
Base compensation: $2,000 USD per month.
Variable compensation: Choose either a monthly performance bonus of up to $1,000 USD or a 5% commission structure.
Paid trial: The 30-day trial uses the same $2,000 monthly base on a prorated basis, with the same bonus or commission choice.
• Commission eligibility, calculation, and all final compensation terms will be defined in the written agreement.

Please include:
Your resume, clearly showing at least two years of direct A&R experience.
Links to 3–5 recent artists, songs, or deals you personally worked on within the last 60 days, with one sentence explaining your exact role and result for each.
One brief data-backed example from those projects: what signals you identified, over what timeframe, why you acted, and what happened afterward.
A link to your personal Instagram profile.
A short explanation of your fit: your experience in our genres, what you would contribute, and confirmation that you can meet the exclusivity and availability requirements.
We are looking for someone who finds opportunities early, backs decisions with data, communicates quickly, and follows through.
