ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a detail-focused Cable Prep Technician to join our Los Angeles warehouse team. You will pick, clean, test, and construct cable for event lighting applications, ensuring every order leaves our facility complete, safe, and show-ready. The role requires solid electrical knowledge, hands-on cable and soldering skills, and clear, regular communication with colleagues across the warehouse and operations teams. The role is available to start as soon as possible.
Working days: Monday to Friday during the minimum 3-month probation period. Following successful completion of probation, working days will be Wednesday to Sunday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pick and prepare cable accurately from pick lists, ensuring orders are complete and on time.
• Count, clean, maintain, and test cable stock.
• Assist with the repair and construction of cable equipment.
• Assist in making signal cables to the required specification.
• Carry out electrical equipment safety testing in line with company procedures and maintain accurate test records.
• Clean and prepare flight cases for dispatch.
• Assist with truck loading and unloading when required.
• Support colleagues and operations teams with ad-hoc tasks as directed by management.
• Report any damaged, faulty, or missing equipment promptly.
• Follow all health and safety standards and procedures.
**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE **
• Electrical knowledge and familiarity with lighting, power, and signal cables.
• Soldering skills.
• Good computer and communication skills.
• A team-first, self-motivated attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Proven ability to build, test, and repair cables accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to reliably commute to our Los Angeles facility.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Work is performed in a warehouse setting, with exposure to typical warehouse conditions (noise, varying temperatures, extended hours).
• Ability to lift and carry equipment as required.
• Punctual and proactive, with a reliable approach to deadlines.
• Availability for overtime during busy periods, with occasional early start, evening, or weekend work to support project schedules.
