About Us:
We are Burwoodland, a nightlife and events company that produces internationally touring themed dance parties including Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, Broadway Rave and more. Our shows bring thousands of people together every weekend across the world. Social-first marketing is at the core of how we connect with fans, build culture, and sell tickets. This role is detail-oriented and results-driven: your work will directly impact ticket sales and fan experience across our tours.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead content creation and audience growth across our portfolio of nationally touring music brands. You'll be responsible for creating engaging social content, identifying trends, growing our online communities, and helping drive ticket sales for 100+ shows each month. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in New York City.
Responsibilities:
Pitch, film, edit and post high-volume short-form video content across Instagram & TikTok designed for virality.
Develop platform-specific content strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, and ticket sales.
Spot and jump on trends quickly including viral moments, memes, and sounds, identifying opportunities for our brands to participate in the conversation.
Appear on camera when appropriate for brand content, interviews, and trend videos.
Capture content at our events, including crowd reactions and stage footage.
Create and execute content calendars for big show launches across multiple brands.
Monitor social performance and provide insights on content effectiveness, audience behavior, and growth opportunities.
Assist in identifying and managing influencer, creator, and artist collaboration opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing social media accounts for brands, artists or entertainment properties (internships count).
• Experience filming, editing, and publishing short-form content with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar.
• Strong creative instincts for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for music and nightlife, someone who lives and breathes internet culture.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Willing to attend and assist at our events in person in the NYC/Tri-State area.
• Willing to travel on average 2x monthly outside of New York to capture show content.
Perks & Benefits:
Team Culture: Frequent happy hours and team nights out
Growth: Opportunity to learn and grow directly under senior marketing leadership
Time Off: Flexible scheduling and paid sick time
Awesome health benefits: Medical, dental and vision + 401(k) after one-year of employment
Concert Tickets: As a live event business, we encourage you to attend concerts! If for some reason we cannot guest list you for a show, we will reimburse you for up to $100 per month on concert tickets.
Compensation: $66,300 with discretionary bonuses
