Darkroom Records is seeking a highly detail-oriented Production & Release Manager to manage the technical execution and delivery of recorded music assets across global distribution platforms. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring flawless release mechanics, metadata integrity, and asset delivery across DSPs. The ideal candidate has **2+ years of experience in music production operations, distribution, or label services **and understands the full lifecycle of a digital release. 
**Role Overview **
The Production & Release Manager will oversee asset intake, metadata management, distribution setup, and delivery timelines for singles, EPs, and albums. You will work closely with A&R, marketing, project management, distribution partners, and DSPs to ensure seamless global release execution. 
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end release setup across distribution platforms 
• Coordinate intake and quality control of audio, artwork, video, and metadata
• Ensure ISRC/UPC accuracy and metadata integrity across all systems
• Execute release deliveries to DSPs with strict deadline adherence 
• Maintain internal release schedules and asset trackers 
• Liaise with distribution partners to troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues
• Oversee versioning, territory configurations, pricing, and takedowns 
• Conduct final QC checks prior to release to ensure accuracy across platforms
• Archive and maintain organized production documentation 
• Coordinate production and manufacturing of physical products including vinyl and other retail formats.
**Qualifications **
• **2+ years of experience **in label production, distribution, or release operations
• Deep familiarity with DSP ecosystems (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, etc.) Strong understanding of metadata standards, ISRC/UPC management, and release configuration 
• High level of organization and attention to detail 
• Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously without compromise
• Experience working with distribution platforms and asset management systems
• Clear communicator with strong cross-functional coordination skills
