A&R Assistant / Coordinator

About the Role
We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented, organized, and driven A&R Assistant / Coordinator to support our A&R team in developing exceptional hip hop and R&B talent.
This role is primarily administrative, but with hands-on involvement in the creative process. You’ll work closely with the CEO and multiple A&R executives, helping to streamline operations and keep projects moving forward.
This is a foundational position for someone looking to grow into a future A&R executive role and gain high-level exposure to artist development and label operations.
**Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
** • Manage calendars, scheduling, and internal meetings for A&R execs
• Handle travel coordination and expense reporting
• Organize listening sessions, showcases, and writing camps
• Maintain organized tracking systems for artist submissions, deal progress, and project timelines
**Creative & Project Support
** • Track and log new music submissions; provide first-pass feedback
• Maintain and update scouting lists, writer/producer grids, and studio schedules
• Assist in creating pitch decks, scouting reports, and internal presentations
• Coordinate communication and logistics with artists, producers, and managers
• Help prep for and attend recording sessions, meetings, and events as needed
**Label Operations & Communication
** • Support deal administration and documentation process
• Liaise with legal, finance, marketing, and digital teams to ensure alignment on timelines and artist assets
• Maintain internal systems to track unreleased music, sample clearances, and deliverables
**Ideal Candidate Profile
** • 1–3 years of relevant experience as an assistant or coordinator in a fast-paced environment
• Strong passion for music discovery and artist development, especially in hip-hop and R&B
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• High emotional intelligence and discretion in dealing with artists, executives, and confidential material
• Fluent in Google Workspace, Photoshop, ChatGPT and basic AI/project management tools
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability, lean team environment
**Compensation
** • $19 - $21 per hour 40 hours per week
