About Sound Rink
Sound Rink is an artist services company focused on VIP experiences and pre-sale ticketing. We partner directly with artists, managers, and labels to design and execute fan-first VIP programs and early access ticketing strategies that generate meaningful tour revenue while allowing artist teams to maintain ownership of their fan data.
Our team comes from artist management, touring, and merchandising backgrounds, and we currently support hundreds of tours across rock, alternative, metal, pop, and beyond.
The Role
We’re looking for a Vice President, Business Development & Client Services who understands both sides of the business: closing new artist partnerships and keeping those relationships strong over multiple tour cycles.
You’ll be talking to managers and agents daily, pitching new opportunities, structuring deals, and then staying involved to make sure tours launch cleanly and clients come back.
This role is ideal for someone who has already operated inside the touring ecosystem and wants to take on a bigger leadership role without losing day-to-day industry involvement.
What You’ll Do
Business Development
• Source and close new partnerships with artist managers, agents, labels, and artist teams
• Pitch Sound Rink’s VIP and pre-sale offerings in a way that aligns with real touring economics
• Structure and negotiate deal terms with artist teams
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of new opportunities
• Represent Sound Rink at showcases, conferences, and in-person meetings
Client Services & Relationship Management
• Act as the senior point of contact for key artist and manager relationships
• Guide new clients through onboarding and their first tour launches
• Stay involved through tour cycles, renewals, and future planning
• Identify opportunities to expand VIP, pre-sale, or fan engagement offerings
• Handle high-level client needs and ensure long-term retention
Collaboration & Strategy
• Work closely with operations, marketing, and product teams to deliver smooth tour execution
• Provide feedback from the field to improve offerings and processes
• Help shape pricing, packaging, and go-to-market direction
• Track deals, renewals, and client performance in CRM
Who You Are
• 8–12+ years in the music industry
• Background in artist management, touring, ticketing, merchandising, or live-event services
• Comfortable selling, negotiating, and maintaining long-term industry relationships
• Well-organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
• Confident representing a brand at a senior level
• Existing relationships with managers, agents, and artist teams are a big plus
Why This Role
• Senior-level role with real influence on revenue and client strategy
• Direct access to leadership and decision-making
• Opportunity to help shape how VIP and pre-sale programs evolve at scale
• Long-term growth opportunity inside a respected, industry-built company
