Ticketing & Marketing Assistant Job Description
You will be tires of the music bus! Every event starts with you and your ability to create amazing experiences for artists, staff, and patrons alike. You will be the foundation that keeps things moving in the right direction.
Daily office hours are a necessity within standard business hours [10am-6pm] as well as attending several shows per month.
The following is a partial list of responsibilities. Please note, there will be other “undetermined” elements of the job, as well.
Ticketing – approx. 10-15 hours per week
You will be an essential member of the ticketing team, actively diving into AXS insights and reports, helping with Box Office Management, and acting as the bridge between Marketing and Ticketing for promotions, etc.
APEX/EVENT TOOL
• Pull quick and accurate ticket / artist counts and show NET
• Monitor ticketing issues and assist with resolving them quickly and accurately
• Schedule all DOS drops and audits for future shows, making sure they stay consistent and accurate
• Assist with learning and supporting backend ticketing software as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of the marketing tools used to promote shows
• Understand the basic operations of Event Tool and how to build an event
• Handle record store ticket distribution from start to finish
**BOX OFFICE MANAGEMENT **
• Assist in approving all box office staff hours on 7shifts, including time off requests
• Assist in scheduling box office staff for club shows based off of show needs
• Make sure box office staff consists of at least 12 rotating staff at all times. If needed, handle the hiring process of bringing on more box staff or coordinating a box office lead to manage the process.
Marketing – approx. 10-15 hours per week
You will also be a valuable member of the Marketing team, spearheading innovative show promos, acting as the bridge between Ticketing and Marketing to create unique promotion ticketing links, and coordinating foundational marketing efforts across digital and in-person efforts.
Support outreach
• Local radio interviews / appearances / co-presents
• Identify community events for The State Room to be represented and or sponsors of
• Share events to local and national calendars
• Follow confirmed artists on all platforms, engaging with their content via likes, shares, comments, and messaging
• Assist with social media posting and maintenance
• Work with the Marketing Lead on unique promotions and provide ticketing links where needed
Media
Provide underwriting copy for all TSRP shows as needed.

Photos
• Manage Photography Sign Up Sheet, creating a consistent and stringent procedure for photographers
• Regularly check engagement across all platforms and create a general synopsis to share with the rest of office team
• Figure out how to integrate the photographer sign up into Airtable
• Expand our pool or graphic designers and in house photographers
• Manage content captured by photographers and utilize it across all platforms
• Manage monthly poster orders and consistently update posters around the venues
Website
• Website Maintenance
• Publishing newly announced shows
• Managing ‘featured’ shows section based off forecasts
• Event maintenance through announce to show date
• Update buttons
• Update assets
• Update support
AXS IQ
• Run IQ reports for ‘pre-show reports’ slack channel. Identify key metrics to discuss in meetings
• Run forecasts for shows, adjust for local, walk ups, off-platform sales, etc
Miscellaneous – approx. 5-10 hours per week
There will be a number of miscellaneous tasks that arise throughout any given week, from help with production to booking to maintenance. As a foundational member of the team, you will be responsible for filling in where needed in order to ensure smooth and ultimately epic shows!
Required Competencies:
• A deep knowledge of Marketing Tools such as email marketing tools, social media tools, etc.
• The ability to learn new ticketing systems
• A willingness to embrace AI but not rely on it as a crutch
• Word, Excel, and other Microsoft tools
• Canva, Adobe, and other design tools
• A willingness to collaborate and be a member of a fast-moving team environment
• A drive to learn and exceed expectations
