Talent Buyer (Brands / Corporate Events)

Full time

Remote

Category: Experiential/Brand Partnerships

Versa represents organizations, brands, companies, conferences, etc to secure the right talent for live events, campaigns, and experiences. That includes speakers, musicians, cultural figures, hosts, and thought leaders. We do not directly represent talent. We sit on the client side and work on their behalf negotiating deals with talent agents and managers.
We are looking for a Corporate Talent Buyer who already understands how this world works and can operate with minimal hand-holding.
What You’ll Do
• Talent buying for brand and corporate clients across speakers, music, and cultural talent
• Negotiate offers and contracts directly with talent agents and managers
• Manage the full advancing process including logistics, riders, schedules, and on-site needs
• Work directly with clients to understand goals, budgets, and creative direction
• Build and contribute to client pitch decks and presentations
• Support new business development and lead generation efforts
• Travel to events as the on-site liaison between talent and brand clients when required
• Coordinate internally to ensure clean execution from deal close through to show day
What We’re Looking For
You’ve done this before. Specifically, you likely come from one of the following backgrounds:
• A branding agency
• A talent agency, ideally within a corporate, brand, or speakers division
• A small independent shop where you’ve been buying talent directly for events
You should be comfortable with:
• Negotiating fees, deal terms, and contract language
• Understand various components of talent partnership agreements (copyrights etc)
• Working with agents and managers at all levels
• Handling sensitive client and talent relationships with discretion
• Juggling multiple deals, clients, and timelines without critical information slipping
• Being client-facing and commercially sharp, not just operational
Requirements
• Proven experience negotiating talent offers and contracts
• Strong understanding of the advancing and execution process
• Confident communication skills
• Experience building decks and presentations for clients
• Comfortable contributing to NBD and lead gen efforts
• Willingness to travel for events as needed
• Able to work independently in a remote environment
What This Is Not
• Not an entry-level role
• Not a talent coordinator or assistant position
• Not representation of talent
If you already speak the language of talent agents & managers and understand how corporate talent buying differs from touring or festival deals, this role is right for you.
