**Role Overview: **As a Booking Intern at QMA, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the music industry, specifically in booking and artist management. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about music, and committed to supporting queer artists. You’ll work closely with our team to help secure performance opportunities for our artists, build industry relationships, and support booking operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to venues, event organizers, promoters, and other industry contacts to build partnerships and secure performance opportunities for our roster of queer artists.
• Assist the booking team in identifying new opportunities, maintaining regular contact with venue owners and industry professionals, and expanding QMA’s network.
• Provide general administrative support, including managing databases, scheduling meetings, and organizing files.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote shows and increase audience engagement.
• Conduct research on venues, festivals, and industry trends to inform booking strategies.
Requirements:
• A strong passion for music and a commitment to supporting queer artists and promoting diversity within the music industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a particular focus on effective outreach and relationship-building.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic knowledge of various music genres and a willingness to learn more.
• Must be able to dedicate 6-10 hours weekly for duration of internship.

Please note this opportunity is for currently enrolled students ONLY. It will take place for the duration of summer and fall 2026, with a start in Mid May. Select interns will have the opportunity to continue their internship, if desired.
