ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:
The entertainment publicity intern will assist their team in all aspects of daily publicity duties including compiling daily press clips, maintaining and updating publicity resources, researching appropriate journalists for campaigns, drafting press notes, and more. Our educational enrichment program give interns a real-world, hands-on publicity experience they can take into future roles. This internship is a wonderful opportunity to learn the inner workings of a top arts, culture, and entertainment PR agency.

LOCATION:
•If interns live near or in Los Angeles, CA, or Brooklyn, NY, they are required to be in the office for a minimum of one day per week
•If candidates are based elsewhere, we are open to remote work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Draft and prepare writing assignments including press notes, client memos, and tour dates in mass email programs (Constant Contact)
•Daily press clip sweep of Google News Alert and client’s social media including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
•Press clip creation (PDF)
•Create press report shells and data entry for clients
•Make additions to databases
•Update Shore Fire press pages with clip links and additional assets
•Update client’s press schedules and/or master schedule for multi-artist events
•Attend staff meetings and intern enrichment programs as scheduled
•Research / audits
EDUCATIONAL ENRICHMENT INCLUDES
•Weekly check-ins with your supervisor. This includes an overview on the pitching process.
•A one-on-one resume review session with a senior staffer to help prepare you for an entry level position post-internship
•Regular “Ask Me Anything” zooms with guest-speakers from the entertainment industry
•Join the team on a minimum of one account. You will be on copy for communication and on regular calls/Zooms pending scheduling so that you become familiar with the inner workings of a PR campaign.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
•Interns must work between 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 consecutive hours per day
•Interns must be available during the working hours of 10am - 6pm Eastern time.
CREDIT INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
•Current undergraduate or graduate student
•Previous leadership, volunteer, or club experience
•Has held at least one internship prior to Shore Fire, preferably in a field related to PR, Music Industry, English, or Communications
