We’re seeking a NYC-based Social Media Manager with proven experience working with music artists to lead Instagram and TikTok strategy for an emerging artist.
This role requires both day-to-day oversight and occasional in-person content capture in New York City (and/or northern NJ).
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute Instagram + TikTok content strategy aligned with music releases
• Create and edit short-form video concepts
• Film content on-site 1x per month in NYC
• Manage posting, captions, community engagement (posting 2-3x a week)
Requirements
• Direct experience managing social for music artists
• Strong understanding of music release rollouts and fan-building
• Proven short-form video performance results
• Comfortable filming with iPhone or DSLR
• NYC-based and available for occasional in-person shoots
• Highly organized and proactive communicator
Ideal Candidate
Understands how to build narrative around singles, not just post content. Has a pulse on TikTok trends but knows how to adapt them to an artist’s identity.
