Resin is an early-stage music technology company in San Francisco building generative tools for professional music production. Our first product, DR-1, is a generative drum engine powered by a foundation model trained in-house.
We’re looking for a paid social media intern to help create content for Resin’s Instagram and TikTok. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong instincts for short-form video, an interest in music and internet culture, and the energy to turn rough ideas into finished posts.
What you’ll do
Your work will center on creating and editing short-form video content. Depending on your interests and strengths, the role may also include:
• Developing video concepts and recurring content formats
• Filming product demos, interviews, studio footage, and behind-the-scenes content
• Editing videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok
• Writing captions and adapting content for each platform
• Identifying relevant trends, creators, and music conversations
• Helping maintain a consistent posting schedule
• Reviewing performance and using what works to shape future content
• Potentially appearing on camera, if you’re comfortable doing so
The exact scope will evolve as we learn what you’re best at and what resonates with our audience.
You might be a good fit if you
• Have experience creating or editing short-form social content
• Have a good eye for pacing, framing, sound, and what makes someone keep watching
• Can take a loose idea and move it toward a finished piece without extensive direction
• Follow music, creator, and social media culture closely
• Are organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup
• Are based in the Bay Area and can work from our SoMa office one or two days per week
Knowledge of music production, recording, or DAWs such as Ableton or Logic is a strong plus. Current students, recent graduates, and early-career creators are all welcome to apply.
Role details
• Part-time internship
• $30 per hour
• Ideally in person at our San Francisco office one or two days per week, with some work completed remotely
• Schedule and weekly hours to be agreed based on availability
• Opportunity for the role to grow as Resin’s social presence develops
