Role Overview
We are seeking a Short-Form Video Editor to support the production of high-performing content for public figures and music clients.
This role focuses on editing short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) designed to drive growth and engagement across platforms.
You should be fluent in internet culture, pacing, hooks, trends, and platform-native editing styles.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit short-form content (15–90 seconds) optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Create strong hooks and pacing within the first 3 seconds
• Cut long-form footage into compelling short-form clips
• Add captions, motion graphics, b-roll, sound design, and effects
• Incorporate platform-native trends and editing styles
• Format content correctly for each platform
• Deliver edits within established turnaround timelines
• Revise content based on feedback from the Content Execution Lead
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience editing short-form social media content
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency in CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and hook development
• Experience editing content for creators, influencers, or public figures
• Deep familiarity with internet culture and current trends
• Ability to follow brand direction while maintaining creative instinct
Preferred Qualifications
• Graphic design experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.)
• Experience creating thumbnails or motion graphics
• Experience repurposing podcast or interview-style content
• Strong understanding of audience retention metrics
Hours & Compensation
• Hourly contractor role
• 5-10- hours per week to start (scalable)
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
