The Role
Join WMA as a Senior Digital Channel Manager and drive the social media strategy for some of the biggest names in music and entertainment. You will be responsible for developing and executing best-in-class social media campaigns, managing client relationships and driving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and execute innovative social media campaigns across a range of client accounts, including high-profile artists, emerging talent, and entertainment brands.
• Develop and implement data-driven social media strategies across multiple platforms, optimizing content and channel performance to maximize engagement and deliver measurable results in order to achieve client marketing objectives.
• Create and manage detailed content calendars and schedules across key platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Threads, and YouTube.
• Build strong client partnerships, leading on all aspects of account management and day to day communication.
• Liaise with social media platform representatives to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends.
• Utilise social media analytics tools & personal insights to track campaign performance, generate actionable takeaways, and deliver clear, concise reports to clients that turn numbers into narratives.
• Determine benchmarks and KPIs for clients to measure monthly success.
• Craft engaging and platform-specific copy for social media posts, official websites, and e-newsletters.
• Conduct social listening sweeps and construct thorough sentiment reports based on findings.
• Create, manage, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns.
• Produce low-lift social edits on static assets and short-form videos.
• Lead content capture days at live shows, video shoots, and studio sessions.
• Highlight areas of success and development on client’s channels to inform future digital strategy.
• Collaborate with WMA's other specialist teams to provide integrated solutions and amplify campaign impact.
• Contribute to the development of innovative new business pitches & proposals.
• Identify upsell opportunities with key accounts.
• Actively seek out new business leads within network and industry contacts.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Interview, select, and manage interns.
• Handle difficult conversations and present solutions to clients when issues arise.
• Manage project delivery to scoped hours.
• Support the Social department beyond day-to-day client needs to continue to innovate and deliver the best service possible.
Skill-Set
• Passionate and knowledgeable about current social media and music /entertainment trends, with a genuine interest in all things social.
• Proven experience strategizing, executing, and analyzing social media campaigns, showcasing measurable results.
• Proficient in social media analytics platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, X Analytics, TikTok Analytics), with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent at building strong, long-term relationships with artists, their management teams and labels, fostering trust and collaboration.
• Confidence in leading all aspects of client communication, including strategic planning, weekly calls, agenda preparation, and performance reporting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
• A collaborative approach driving effective team work in cross-functional teams.
• A proactive attitude and proven experience identifying and resolving problems.
• Ability to manage time well, to respond promptly to clients and team members, prioritising effectively and ensuring clear and timely communication and delivery.
• Understanding of evolving digital technologies and the ability to research, evaluate, and implement new opportunities to enhance campaign performance.
• Highly creative mindset with a strong attention to detail, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and engaging content.
• Strong desire to build and nurture industry relationships, actively expanding your music industry network.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Music, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in social media and digital channel management within the music industry.
• Proven experience delivering social media campaigns for notable artists & brands.
• Proven experience independently managing multiple campaigns and social accounts.
• Proven experience translating data into actionable insights and strategic reporting.
