Publicity Manager

Full time

Remote • Nashville, TN, USA

Category: Marketing/PR/Social/Events

117 Entertainment represents an eclectic roster of talent. We are seeking a highly motivated** Publicity Manager** to help lead our Public Relations efforts. Our Publicity Managers each carry a portion of the roster and drive their campaigns day-to-day, working closely with the Founder, who stays actively involved on every account. The ideal candidate is comfortable running campaigns with real ownership while collaborating closely as part of a small, tight-knit team — bringing established relationships with music, pop culture, and national media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
What You’ll Do
• Design, implement, and manage strategic national & regional touring publicity campaigns for your assigned artists — booking television appearances, podcasts, social media takeovers, and outreach to critics, magazines, blogs, and other editorial outlets
• Build and execute publicity campaigns that shape an artist’s narrative and grow their audience, in partnership with the Founder & CEO and the rest of the team
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and tastemakers across all media
• Escort talent to television performances, photo shoots, and events; prepare talent and media for interviews and appearances
• Write, create, and distribute pitches, press releases, and strategize on media rollout campaigns
• Submit and track art or video requests for marketing assets tied to your accounts (invites, posters, videos, etc.)
• Analyze campaign data and report results and recommendations to leadership
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on campaign-specific tools and materials (e.g., promotional items) as needed
• Support and mentor junior publicity staff or interns as the team grows
• Contribute to shaping 117’s broader publicity strategy
• Additional duties as assigned
Who You Are
• Required:
• 3+ years of hands-on publicity experience in music/entertainment, with a track record of running campaigns independently
• Strong administrative, organizational, and creative skills
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, juggling multiple priorities while delivering timely results
• Forward-thinking with strong social and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful — comfortable owning your accounts while working closely as part of a team
• Strong working knowledge of the media industry and its power players
• Knowledgeable in country music and pop culture, with awareness of current events
• Ability to work well with others, exercise sound judgment, and keep information highly confidential
• Experience directing on-site artist interactions
• Preferred:
• Established relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and critics — not just familiarity, but real standing
• Familiarity with press campaigns for acts similar to our roster
• Proficient in Google Drive, email, Mailchimp, Meltwater/Cision/Critical Mention or similar media database/reporting software, Disco, and project management tools
• Deep, active media contacts across music, lifestyle, and national outlets
• Basic knowledge of social media, recognizing its importance in the current media landscape
• Basic graphic design skills
