Hurwitz Concerts is seeking a highly organized, proactive Production Assistant / Runner to support a Los Angeles–based live-to-film concert business founded by Academy Award®–winning composer Justin Hurwitz.
This is an execution-focused role supporting the team with administrative tasks, production logistics, errands, and show-day operations. The ideal candidate is resourceful, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to take initiative on tasks both large and small.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining production calendars, contact sheets, itineraries, show files, checklists, and internal trackers
• Tracking contracts, NDAs, invoices, settlements, signatures, and outstanding materials
• Organizing, watermarking, and distributing sheet music and rehearsal materials following approval
• Assisting with ticket counts, guest lists, credentials, parking, will call, and backstage access
• Collecting and entering ticket-sales figures, gross reports, and other production information
• Coordinating shipments, printing, merchandise inventory, supplies, couriers, and local pickups and drop-offs
• Supporting travel arrangements, rehearsal schedules, and other event logistics
• Organizing production and marketing assets and maintaining accurate digital files
• Assisting with venue, vendor, musician, and partner follow-ups as directed
• Serving as a runner on show days and supporting backstage, box office, hospitality, merchandise, and production needs
• Providing general administrative support to the Hurwitz Concerts team
The ideal candidate:
• Has 1–2 years of experience in live events, entertainment, production, touring, or administrative support
• Is highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Communicates clearly and professionally by email, phone, and in person
• Is proactive, responsive, and comfortable following up to keep projects moving
• Handles confidential materials with discretion
• Remains calm and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced production environment
• Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, DropBox, Adobe Creative Cloud: Acrobat, Photoshop & Premiere
• Is based in Los Angeles and has reliable transportation
• Is available for occasional evenings, weekends, and travel based on the concert schedule
• Has a can-do attitude and is willing to go above and beyond to support the team
This role includes a mix of remote administrative work and in-person production support. The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.
