Salary: USD 40000.00 - 50000.00 annually
Category: Artist/Label Services
Overview
We're seeking a Partner Success Associate to serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of indify partners, facilitating high-quality connections between them and the artists they're interested in working with. This is an opportunity to work alongside some of the best independent labels in music as they sign both commercially significant artists and culturally important ones.
The ideal candidate blends a deep understanding of the independent artist community (discovering artists early, building relationships with managers and lawyers) with the discipline to capture and continually update each partner's preferences so that every artist can find the right home. You'll own your portfolio end to end, from onboarding through trial conversion and renewal.
You'll be the person our partners trust to help them find their next successful signing. You'll know the kinds of artists each one is looking for well enough that indify starts to feel like part of their team.
What You’ll Do
• Own a portfolio of partners (indie labels and distributors), serving as their main point of contact
• Own trial conversion and renewal across your portfolio
• Curate and send weekly artist recommendations tailored to each partner's stated preferences
• Facilitate personal introductions between artists and partners, protecting the trust indify has with both sides
• Update partner preferences weekly based on their reactions, so recommendations sharpen over time
• Source new artists to fill specific gaps when a partner's preferences aren't being met by the existing pool
Who You Are
• You're early in your career and want to build a real network in independent music, not just watch it from the outside
• You're highly organized and note-taking obsessed, you have your own internal system for documenting things, and you actually use it
• You love music and follow blogs, curators, and scenes closely. You can name three artists you were early on and explain what you heard before other people did
• You're proactive. You don't wait to be told what to do, you're not afraid to send a cold email, and you have a bias for action
• You're a great listener, and you can turn a partner's vague reaction into a concrete change in what you send them next
• You respond well to feedback and treat it as signal for how to improve
Helpful, Not Required
• Existing relationships with managers, lawyers, or other artist team members
• Prior experience at a label, distributor, or management company, or in A&R
• Experience working in a CRM, database, or other structured system for tracking relationships (Airtable, Notion, etc)
• Based in NYC or LA
Compensation & Benefits:
• Annual salary: $40,000 – $50,000
• Meaningful equity
• Health, dental, and vision coverage
• Unlimited PTO
• Fully remote
About indify:
indify helps independent artists connect with independent labels so they can build careers while keeping full ownership and control of their music. For labels and distributors, we provide direct access to curated, in-market artist leads helping them discover and sign the right talent faster and with greater confidence.
Over the past five years, we've built an alternative to the traditional system: a growing independent economy where artists find the right partners without giving up their rights. That vision attracted backing from Alexis Ohanian and Garry Tan through Initialized, early investors in Coinbase and Instacart.
Artists have used indify to generate over 15 billion streams, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, charting on the Billboard Hot 100, and breaking streaming records across Southeast Asia. Saint Levant, Anees, Armani White, Leah Kate, and Pink Sweat$ all broke using indify. Most recently, GRAMMY Award-winning artist James Blake left the major label system to find his independent home with Good Boy Records through indify, charting higher than ever before with his independent debut, Trying Times.
We're a small team working remotely with roots in Brooklyn.
