The Role
2PM Sharp is looking for a **Music Publicist **to join our Nashville team.
This is a full-time, hybrid position (3 days per week in office) dedicated to music. You’ll execute PR campaigns for our musicians and music clients, with opportunities to support the agency’s work across sports, film, television, comedy, and culture more broadly.
This role suits someone who’s built a foundation in PR and is ready to take on more ownership of press strategy and execution, from pitching and media relationships to event coordination and campaign support, while continuing to grow within music publicity.
What You’ll Do
• Lead day-to-day media outreach and pitching for music clients, building and maintaining relationships with Nashville and national music press contacts
• Draft and distribute press releases, media alerts, and pitches that reflect 2PM Sharp’s voice and client priorities
• Help build out our Nashville music press list and media relationships as we grow our presence in the market
• Compile and analyze press coverage reports, flagging trends and opportunities specific to the Nashville music scene
• Coordinate event logistics, guest lists, and on-site press activity for concerts, showcases, and other client moments
• Support sports and broader entertainment campaigns as needed
• Partner with the broader team on campaign strategy and execution, contributing ideas as the
• Nashville music roster expands
• Manage scheduling, calendars, and internal communications to keep client work moving
• Keep contact databases, files, and reporting tools organized as our regional footprint grows
What We’re Looking For
• We know great publicists come from all kinds of backgrounds, so if you don’t check every box below but feel your experience translates, we’d still love to hear from you.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing skills and sharp attention to detail
• Working knowledge of press releases, media outreach, and PR workflows, with some hands-on
• pitching experience
• A genuine passion for music and familiarity with the Nashville music scene, with an appreciation
• for entertainment and culture broadly
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
• Prior experience in music or entertainment PR, or an agency setting, preferred
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including concerts, showcases, and press
