The Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing assets for the two venues and all promoted events and concerts’ advertising, as well as community engagement and public relations for any upcoming special events. Moroccan Lounge and Teragram Ballroom are both independently owned concert venues under the direction of Teragram Presents.
This position will work in conjunction with The Bellwether Marketing Manager and Artist + Management Marketing Teams to develop effective marketing plans and place media reaching the right demographic for each show to drive ticket sales. This role requires experience in maintaining and tracking ad budgets with an understanding of genre-specific marketing and the ability to maintain multiple budgets at once. This position will also be responsible for social direction and management of Moroccan Lounge’s and Teragram Ballroom’s social media channels.
Music industry knowledge is required. An understanding of music venues is a plus.
As the Marketing Manager for both venues, you are passionate about live music, the greater Los Angeles music scene and providing a positive show-going experience for the venues’ respective audiences.
Responsibilities entail:
· Create marketing plans + execute all buys and promotions (radio (as required), digital, print, socials) for all promoted concert events at Moroccan Lounge and Teragram Ballroom
· Oversee creation of and implementation of all marketing assets (and specifically admats) for all promoted concert events
· Maintain and track ad budgets from show announce to night of show
· Build and send all specific show email blasts and venue email newsletters
· Builds and manages all web event listings
· Communicate with artist teams’ for each show as main point of contact for all marketing
· Advance media with artist PR teams for each show
· Manage social media channels for all promoted events at both venues
· Create copy and implementation of organic and paid social posts for show announcements and show awareness throughout all shows’ time on sale
· Create and execute paid social campaigns
· Coordinate with talent buyers on promoted shows and call out specific events that require additional dedicated marketing efforts and advise on best practices and available strategies
· Communicate and coordinate with local businesses in Little Tokyo, Arts District, and the greater DTLA area on co-promotion efforts and community marketing activation (e.g. promotional codes, street teaming, brand activation)
As-needed portion of the job outside of the Marketing Responsibilities:
· Promote and market venue for private events and rentals as specified
· Scout local music promoted events, private events and dance party events to bring in additional business for Moroccan Lounge, Teragram Ballroom and Camille’s
· Coordinate with Bellwether marketing & special events teams on three-venue rental marketing
Qualifications:
● College degree
● At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in music industry
● Strong copyediting, written and verbal communication skills
● Extremely organized with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● Must be detail oriented with a high standard for quality and able to multitask and manage multiple campaigns and projects at once
● Understanding, experience, and creativity in social media and digital marketing strategies (both paid and organic)
● Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications a plus
● Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM practices
