 Manager, A&R Operations
• $60,000 – $80,000 / yr
• Full-time
About the role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Manager of A&R Operations to sit at the intersection of creative and organizational infrastructure. This role owns the operational backbone of our A&R department — keeping our roster pipeline organized, our data clean, and our internal processes running smoothly so our creative team can focus on finding and developing great artists.
What you'll do
• Own the A&R database; maintain and continuously improve systems for tracking artist submissions, deals in progress, and roster history.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and marketing to ensure smooth onboarding of new signings and timely deal execution.
• Manage the end-to-end label waiver process, drafting, routing for approval, and tracking waivers issued to artists, producers, and featured collaborators to ensure clean chain of title ahead of release.
• Partner with our royalty administration team to ensure new signings are properly onboarded into our royalty accounting system, with deal terms accurately reflected for mechanical, performance, and neighboring rights splits.
• Flag and help resolve royalty holds, unmatched recordings, and publishing ownership conflicts before they create downstream payment issues.
• Liaise with DSPs and distributors to ensure ISRC and UPC registration, metadata accuracy, and timely asset delivery that supports accurate royalty reporting.
• Standardize and document internal A&R processes, creating scalable workflows as the roster grows.
• Pull and synthesize streaming, social, and market data to support A&R decision-making and artist evaluation.
• Perform duties as directed.
What we're looking for
• 2–4 years of experience in label operations, A&R administration, or a related music industry role
• Strong command of spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Comfort pulling and interpreting streaming and social data (Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, etc.)
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities without dropping the ball
• A genuine passion for music and curiosity about the business, you want to understand not just how things work but why
• A collaborative, low-ego working style, this role connects a lot of dots across teams, and doing it well requires trust
**Compensation **
$60,000 – $80,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
