This Dark Roast Records Label Intern will be highly involved in supporting the content strategy, execution, and day-to-day management of Dark Roast Records’ social media presence. This role focuses on assisting with content creation to drive digital engagement, increase brand visibility, and strengthen connections between artists and fans across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting in developing a biweekly social media content calendar aligned with release schedules, artist campaigns, and label initiatives.
• Coordinating closely with internal marketing and artist teams to ensure content aligns with campaign priorities and upcoming releases.
• Tailoring content for each platform to support growth, engagement, and cultural relevance.
• Sourcing, organizing, and repurposing high-performing video content into short-form clips optimized for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Assisting with seeding viral-style videos using upcoming release audio to support early hype and engagement.
• Creating and supporting static and short-form visual assets (e.g., graphics, text overlays, repurposed clips) for announcements, releases, pop-up events, and brand campaigns via Canva (or preferred design platform).
• Working directly with artists to gather creative direction for release assets.
• Coordinating closely with graphic designers to ensure assets are properly briefed, created, delivered, and approved on schedule.
• Helping to identify, repost, and engage with UGC and influencer content aligned with the label’s voice and values.
