Independent Concert Promoter & Event Producer
Bloom Music Collective | San Diego, CA + Southern California | Event-by-Event / Commission-Based
About Bloom Music Collective
Bloom Music Collective is an independent live-music and experiential events company based in San Diego, California. We create live experiences that spotlight emerging artists and bring people together through music, community, and interactive experiences.
From thoughtfully curated lineups to social dancing and community partnerships, Bloom is building a concert platform where discovering new music becomes an opportunity to connect with new people. What began as a living-room concert series has grown into shows at established live-music venues, with a vision to expand into a recognizable, recurring live-event brand.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial concert promoter to help grow Bloom Music Collective. This is an opportunity to work directly with the founder to develop and promote live shows, expand audiences, and help build an independent concert brand with a distinct identity.
We're not looking for someone who simply posts flyers. We want someone who understands how to move tickets, develop audiences, build industry relationships, and turn creative event concepts into successful live experiences.
The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, well-connected in the live-music industry, and excited about emerging artists and community-driven events.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute promotional strategies that drive ticket sales and audience growth.
• Identify and activate marketing channels, partnerships, and audience networks.
• Build relationships with venues, artists, talent buyers, sponsors, and local organizations.
• Help develop show concepts, event strategy, and opportunities to expand Bloom's reach.
• Track promotional performance, ticket sales, and audience acquisition to improve future events.
• Coordinate with the founder and event team to ensure each show is effectively promoted and executed.
• Bring creative ideas and take ownership of agreed-upon responsibilities from planning through show day.
What We're Looking For
• Demonstrated experience promoting concerts or live events, ideally featuring emerging or independent artists.
• A track record of contributing to ticket sales and building audiences for live events.
• Existing relationships with artists, venues, promoters, community organizations, or other relevant partners.
• Strong understanding of concert marketing, audience development, and the economics of live events.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.
• Excitement about building something long-term rather than simply completing one-off assignments.
Experience with 100–600-capacity venues and the Southern California music scene is a plus.
Compensation & Structure
This is an event-by-event, performance-based opportunity with compensation tied to ticket sales directly attributable to your promotional efforts. Commission rates and responsibilities will be agreed upon before each event.
The role may be a fit for an independent promoter or experienced event professional interested in building an ongoing working relationship as Bloom grows.
Interested?
Send us a brief introduction, relevant experience, and examples of shows you've promoted. Please include venue capacities, approximate ticket sales or attendance, your role in each event, and any results you're able to share.
We're interested in people who can demonstrate real-world results and want to help build something distinctive in the independent live-music space.
