We’re looking for an experienced and proactive booking agent to help grow the live presence of an emerging Afropop artist based in LA. The artist is gaining momentum, building an international audience, and entering an exciting growth phase.
This role is for someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and turn opportunities into real bookings. You should be confident pitching talent, highly organized, persistent, and genuinely excited about helping develop an artist long term in the North American market.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Securing live performance opportunities across North America
• Building relationships with promoters, venues, festivals, colleges, brands, and event partners
• Identifying the right opportunities that align with the artist’s growth and brand
• Negotiating booking terms and performance fees
• Managing outreach, follow-ups, and booking pipelines
• Helping shape a smart live strategy for the next 12 months
• Coordinating closely with management and the artist
• Keeping calendars, deal memos, and booking updates organized and clear
• Looking for creative opportunities beyond traditional shows, including brand events and cultural activations
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience booking artists, DJs, creators, or live talent
• Strong North American industry relationships
• Confident communicator and negotiator
• Self-starter who doesn’t need micromanaging
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Passion for music, culture, and emerging global sounds
• Someone hungry, connected, and proactive
• LA-based strongly preferred
Bonus Points If You Have
• Experience working with Afrobeats, Afropop, R&B, or global music
• Relationships with festivals, colleges, brands, or touring partners
• Experience helping break developing artists in the US market
