Position: Head of Music / Director of Music Division
We are seeking a senior-level music executive to lead and scale our global music division. This role is responsible for overseeing all music operations, managing a team of artist managers and A&R executives, and driving the strategic growth of the company’s music portfolio.
This is a leadership position for an experienced industry professional who can operate both strategically and hands-on—building talent rosters, closing high-level deals, and establishing systems that support long-term global expansion.
Role Overview
As Head of Music, you will be responsible for the vision, structure, and performance of the music division. You will lead a team of managers and creatives while directly contributing to artist development, deal-making, and revenue generation.
This role is ideal for a well-connected executive with a proven track record of building successful artist careers and leading teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, build, and manage the company’s music division and internal team
• Recruit, mentor, and oversee artist managers, A&R executives, and creative staff
• Identify, sign, and develop high-potential talent across global markets
• Oversee creative direction, branding, and long-term career strategy for key artists
• Structure and negotiate major deals (recording, publishing, distribution, brand partnerships, touring)
• Establish scalable systems, workflows, and operational standards for the division
• Drive revenue growth across streaming, touring, brand partnerships, and sync licensing
• Expand and maintain relationships with labels, DSPs, publishers, agents, and global partners
• Collaborate with executive leadership on company-wide growth strategy
Compensation Structure
• Senior-level independent contractor or executive structure (flexible based on candidate)
• Commission participation across division roster and deals
• Revenue share and performance-based incentives

Ideal Candidate
• 7–10+ years of experience in artist management, A&R, record label, or music executive roles
• Proven track record of developing and monetizing successful artists
• Strong industry relationships across labels, publishers, DSPs, agents, and brands
• Experience leading teams or managing multiple artists/projects simultaneously
• High-level understanding of deal structuring and music business economics
• Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership capability and vision
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-growing company
