Event Representative
Position Summary
The Event Representative serves as the on-site liaison between Slacker Media Group, venue staff, talent, and fans to ensure every event delivers an exceptional, fan-first experience. Acting as the face of the company at live events, this role oversees event execution, supports the performing artist, maintains brand standards, and helps create memorable experiences for everyone involved.
This position requires someone who is organized, outgoing, professional under pressure, and passionate about live entertainment.
Primary Responsibilities
Event Operations
• Arrive early to oversee event setup and ensure operational readiness.
• Conduct venue walkthroughs before doors open.
• Verify all event assets are in place (branding, merchandise, signage, promotional materials, etc.).
• Coordinate with venue management and staff throughout the event.
• Communicate with company leadership regarding event status and any issues.
Talent Support
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the DJ and on site media. 
• Ensure the artist has everything needed before, during, and after the performance.
• Coordinate hospitality requirements.
• Assist with load-in and load-out as needed.
• Help maintain the event timeline.
Production
• Serve as the on-site liaison between Slacker Media Group, venue production staff, and the performing artist.
• Coordinate with venue production teams to ensure all technical requirements are met prior to the performance.
• Verify that stage, audio, lighting, and DJ equipment are prepared according to the event's production needs.
• Assist with artist load-in, soundcheck, and load-out while helping maintain the production schedule.
• Communicate production updates, schedule changes, or technical issues to company leadership and the artist's team.
• Coordinate and oversee special production elements, including CO2 effects, confetti drops, balloon drops, and other show enhancements, ensuring they are executed safely, on cue, and in accordance with the event timeline. 
• Identify and address production-related issues quickly, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Ensure backstage and performance areas remain organized, safe, and ready for the artist.

Fan Experience
• Help create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere.
• Interact professionally with attendees.
• Resolve guest concerns whenever possible.
• Identify opportunities to create memorable fan moments.
• Represent the company's "Fans First" philosophy.
Brand Representation
• Represent Slacker Media Group professionally at all times.
• Maintain a positive relationship with venue staff and partners.
• Ensure company branding is presented properly.
• Capture opportunities for social media content.
• Promote company values through every interaction.
Event Documentation
• Take event photos and short videos.
• Document attendance, crowd engagement, and notable moments.
• Complete an event recap following each show.
• Report operational successes and areas for improvement.
On-Site Activations
• Set up and oversee on-site activations that enhance the overall event experience.
• Ensure all activation areas, promotional displays, and branded experiences are properly set up and presentation-ready.
• Support sponsor and company activations while maintaining Slacker Media Group's brand standards.
• Monitor activations throughout the event to ensure they remain organized, fully stocked, and operating smoothly.

Unlike a traditional promoter representative who primarily works on behalf of the venue or promoter, the Event Representative advocates for the artist, the company, and the overall fan experience. They ensure every event reflects Slacker Media Group's standards by supporting talent, strengthening venue relationships, protecting the brand, and creating memorable moments that extend beyond the performance itself.
This role is equal parts operations manager, hospitality coordinator, brand ambassador, and event producer, making it one of the most visible and impactful positions on the event team.
