Position Overview
Noise New Media is seeking a strategic, analytical, and forward-thinking Director of Paid Media to lead the agency's paid advertising practice across fairs, rodeos, motorsports events, comedy clubs, universities, festivals, and live entertainment venues nationwide.
This role is responsible for the overall vision, quality, and performance of the agency's paid media operation. The Director of Paid Media will oversee strategy, execution standards, reporting methodology, platform innovation, and team development while serving as the senior strategic advisor for our largest and most complex clients.
Reporting directly to agency leadership, this position will manage the Paid Media Manager and Digital Marketing Analyst, ensuring every campaign reflects best-in-class strategy, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Media Strategy & Leadership
• Develop and lead the agency's paid media strategy across Meta, Google Search, Google Display, YouTube, TikTok, Programmatic Display, Connected TV (CTV), Digital Audio, and emerging advertising platforms.
• Create integrated channel strategies that align media investments with ticket sales, audience behavior, and business objectives.
• Develop audience targeting, bidding, optimization, and budget allocation frameworks tailored specifically to live events and entertainment marketing.
• Build campaign strategies for every stage of the event lifecycle. 
• Evaluate new advertising opportunities, beta programs, AI capabilities, and emerging platforms to keep the agency ahead of industry trends.
• Serve as the agency's senior subject matter expert on paid media strategy.
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Paid Media Manager and Digital Marketing Analyst.
• Assess the team’s evolving capacity and capabilities, recommend when additional support is needed, and lead the recruitment and interview process for future paid media and analytics hires.
• Build a culture centered around accountability, experimentation, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular campaign reviews, coaching sessions, and strategic planning meetings.
• Help team members prioritize work, solve complex problems, and continue developing professionally.
• Create clear expectations for quality, responsiveness, documentation, and campaign ownership.
Measurement, Analytics & Reporting
• Partner closely with the Digital Marketing Analyst to improve the quality, accuracy, usefulness, and consistency of reporting.
• Establish shared measurement standards, including:
• Conversion definitions
• Campaign naming conventions
• Attribution methodology
• Reporting practices
• Improve tracking across:
• Advertising platforms
• Website analytics
• Ticketing systems
• Google Analytics

• Develop benchmarks by:

• Stage of the ticket-sales cycle
• Conduct cross-client analyses that identify broader trends, performance patterns, and strategic opportunities.
• Improve the connection between advertising performance, ticket sales velocity, audience engagement, and campaign outcomes.
• Clearly communicate attribution limitations and avoid overstating conclusions that data can’t reliably support.
Creative Strategy
• Build stronger collaboration between paid media and the creative team.
• Translate campaign performance into practical creative recommendations.
• Identify messaging, visual, audience, and format trends that improve campaign effectiveness.
• Recommend testing strategies that continuously improve creative performance.
Client Leadership
• Serve as the senior paid media strategist for priority accounts and high-profile campaigns.
• Present media strategies, testing plans, performance reviews, and optimization recommendations to clients.
• Help account managers explain campaign performance in clear, commercially meaningful language.
• Ensure strategic recommendations are well documented and effectively communicated internally and externally.
Business Development
• Support new business opportunities through media audits, strategic recommendations, and proposal development.
• Identify opportunities to expand Noise New Media's strategic value within existing client relationships.
• Help articulate why Noise New Media's paid media capabilities differentiate the agency from competitors.
• Contribute to agency thought leadership through internal training, presentations, conference speaking opportunities, and industry content.
AI & Focus on the Future
• Develop and maintain a practical AI roadmap for paid media, analytics, and marketing operations.
• Evaluate AI tools based on usefulness, accuracy, security, scalability, and ease of adoption.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks while improving strategic decision-making and campaign quality.
• Stay informed on emerging advertising technologies, privacy changes, measurement innovations, and platform updates.
Ideal Background
• 5+ years of paid media experience, preferably within an agency environment.
• 3+ years leading paid media teams.
• Expert knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and major digital advertising platforms.
• Experience managing multi-channel advertising campaigns with significant annual media budgets.
• Strong understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, audience strategy, analytics, and campaign optimization.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor marketing professionals.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to simplify complex performance data into actionable business recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in live entertainment, ticketing, sports, fairs, festivals, performing arts, attractions, or venue marketing.
• Experience with programmatic advertising and Connected TV.
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster, Paciolan, Etix, AudienceView, or similar systems.
• Experience implementing Conversion APIs, server-side tracking, CRM audience integrations, and first-party data strategies.
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized agency where leaders move between strategy and execution.
• Familiarity with AI-powered marketing workflows and automation tools.

Compensation & Benefits
• Noise New Media offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance while supporting the health and well-being of our team.
Compensation
• Annual Salary: $100,000, paid in accordance with the company's regular payroll schedule.
Paid Time Off
• Eligible employees receive paid time off (PTO), accrued throughout the year, for vacation and personal time. PTO begins accruing upon employment and may be used in accordance with company policy.

Eligible employees may enroll in the company's health and welfare benefits beginning on the first day of the month following their hire date (or as otherwise permitted by the plan).
Noise New Media currently pays 70% of the employee-only premium for eligible medical coverage, including available BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee health plans. These plans offer nationwide PPO coverage. Employees may also enroll eligible dependents at their own expense.

Noise New Media provides a 100% employer match on employee contributions up to 4% of eligible compensation. Employer matching contributions become 100% vested after the employee's first full year of employment. Employees are always 100% vested in their own contributions.
Profit Sharing
After one year of employment, employees become eligible to participate in the company's profit-sharing incentive program, subject to the terms of the plan and company performance. Eligibility begins on the employee's one-year anniversary date.
