broke Records is an independent record label based in Los Angeles, CA; home to Tiffany Day, sosocamo, Foster The People, bbno$, and others.
We are looking for a young, driven, organized, and fiercely competitive individual who can lead a team of 11 Researchers + A&Rs at the label.
DO NOT APPLY IF:
• You have not signed more than 10 artists or deals in the past year.
• Have 0 leadership abilities or experience.
• You have not run into us at least 25+ times in the last year attempting to sign an artist.
• You do not have taste.
Must Have(s):
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of A&Rs
• Signed 10 or more artists / deals in the last year
• Ability to research, sign, and develop talent by yourself
• Recently signed viral and high streaming artists / talent
• Understanding of digital marketing and platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter
• Expert leadership and managerial skills
• In-depth and well rounded relationships with lawyers, managers, and artists within the music industry
• Based in Los Angeles and able to frequently travel
• Desire to operate and perform within an intense and competitive environment that requires highly detail orientated and time demanding work at all hours
• Highly organized mentality with ability to use Claude, CRMs, and other operational tools to optimize workflows and train individuals to use workflows
Responsibilities:
• Lead, unite, and drive up performance of a team of 11+ A&Rs and Researchers at the label
• Build and launch successfully new and streamlined operations that increase ability to sign, decrease the time that it takes to sign, and increase the ability for marketing and operations team to ingest and work signings
• Oversee A&R team to increase signing(s) and revenue across label
• Research 3-4 hours per day on TikTok + Instagram
• Utilize data tools like Chartmetric, Meddling, and other(s) to find new / viral / breaking song(s) or artist(s)
• Build and introduce educational programs and training protocols to A&R team to better performance across label
**Additional Compensation Details: **Ability to earn large spot-bonuses based on team's growth and performance, paid out annually. Ability to earn % of Net Label Profits on signing(s) brought in, personally, and via the department. Annual expense card to sign and develop talent.
