Role Overview
As a Digital Marketing Specialist at Culture Wave, you will play a central role in planning, executing, and optimizing digital campaigns and other digital touchpoints for our artist roster. Working closely with artists and artists managers, creative, and strategy teams, you’ll help drive brand growth, audience engagement, and streaming/consumption metrics for our roster.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, assisting and executing strategic digital marketing campaigns designed to generate publicity and awareness. This role will be responsible for providing top tier, white glove digital marketing services to our artist client roster working across Rock/Alternative, Metal and more. You’ll wear many hats — part strategist, part operator, part analyst — while maintaining a high level of quality, timeliness, and brand coherence
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels — including but not limited to social media, email, web, paid ads, DSP playlists, and content drops.
• Serve as the marketing point of contact for assigned labels and artists, leading discussions around marketing strategies within the online space, campaign planning, data collection and CRM execution and ongoing performance evaluation.
• Manage and maintain the company’s digital marketing calendar and scheduling, ensuring all content, campaigns, and drops align with release/tour timelines and overall strategy.
• Create or coordinate content production: collaborate with designers, videographers, copywriters, and other creatives to produce social posts, video teasers, email newsletters, website updates, ads, and promotional materials.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics (social engagement, growth, streaming data, email metrics, website traffic, conversion/CTA performance, etc.)
• Drive informed decisions based on data and performance metrics. Analyze the impact of campaigns, identify trends, areas for improvement, and audience data to optimize both pre- and post-release strategies. You will be expected to keep on top of current online trends/tools and how they can be implemented within marketing campaigns.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities, and high-velocity execution (tour rollouts, surprise drops, social hype windows).
• Help plan and execute promotional pushes tied to releases, tours, cultural moments, and holidays
• Demonstrate flexibility and a balance of supporting roster needs. Be nimble as priorities arise outside of process, be able to move with importance as well as vision
• Stay current with industry trends, platform algorithm changes, digital marketing best practices and apply that knowledge to keep campaigns performant and innovative.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, internal teams and external partners to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned and executed on-time and on-brand.
• Document campaign processes, maintain trackers and assets, manage approvals workflows and ensure all deliverables are organized and accessible.
• Oversee and manage marketing campaigns for high-priority releases, with a focus on artist and label initiatives.
• Drive informed decisions based on data and performance metrics. You will be expected to keep on top of current online trends and tools and how they can be utilised within marketing campaigns.
• Utilize your in-depth knowledge of platforms and tools to build audiences, engage fanbases and drive demand.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
• Some college experience or related work experience is necessary
• 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media, content marketing, or similar roles (agency or in-house).
• Familiarity with DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), streaming analytics dashboards, and music-specific digital marketing tactics (playlist pitching, release cadence, streaming promos, video teasers, etc.).
• Strong understanding and hands-on familiarity with digital marketing tools for social media platforms (Meta Business Manager, TikTok For Artists) + scheduling, email marketing/automation, analytics platforms (e.g. Chartmetric, Google Analytics, Luminate Music Connect), and basic SEO/SEM knowledge.
• Strong analytical mindset — comfortable reading data, deriving insights, and recommending optimizations accordingly.
• Knowledge of digital paid media across platforms including Meta, Google and TikTok Ads Manager preferred
• Experience with using Google Suite: Google Docs, Forms, Sheets, Slides
• Experience with presentation tools: Ludus, Keynote, etc
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to coordinate across departments and external partners, manage timelines/deadlines, articulate strategy and results clearly.
Preferred
• Prior experience working with artists, music marketing, entertainment industry, or label/management context.
• Basic graphic/video editing or ability to coordinate production workflows (or experience in content creation). Meta Edits, Capcut, Adobe: Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Google Suite / Apps.
• Experience with running paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok and Google Ads is a plus
• Strong understanding of first party data collection strategies, data-driven growth and optimization.

Reporting & Team Structure
• This is a full-time position located in our Century City office. This role reports to and will have project direction from the VP, Digital Marketing.
Salary
• $70,000.00 minimum /per year + benefits .
