POSITION SUMMARY
BLK Matter is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager to build and lead our digital marketing efforts across the BLK Matter and Arkade rosters. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can operate as strategist, executor, and leader all at once: setting the digital strategy, building and managing a social media team, running paid campaigns, and owning the systems that connect fan and audience data across artists.
This person will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Operations, artist managers, the label team, and creative production to lead digital strategy across releases, tours, campaigns, and artist initiatives. The role will also be responsible for building the systems, processes, and team needed to support digital marketing across the roster.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Strategy & Leadership
• Own digital marketing strategy across the BLK Matter and Arkade rosters, including music releases, touring, merch, and broader artist campaigns
• Build and lead the social and digital team, including internal staff, creators, seeders, agencies, and other external partners
• Establish the systems, workflows, and standards for how digital campaigns are planned, executed, measured, and reported
• Serve as the primary digital marketing partner to artist managers, the label team, and creative production
• Lead digital strategy around merch and product launches, including store launches, limited drops, and high-value fan segments
Audience Growth & Digital Campaigns
• Develop audience growth strategies for each artist across social platforms, paid media, creator ecosystems, email, SMS, and community channels
• Lead paid social and digital advertising strategy, including targeting, spend allocation, optimization, and performance measurement
• Build repeatable approaches to audience development, content distribution, creator seeding, and fan acquisition
• Identify opportunities to convert casual audiences into engaged fans, ticket buyers, listeners, and customers
Campaign Planning & Execution
• Build digital campaign plans around releases, tours, announcements, merch drops, and other key artist moments
• Ensure digital strategy is incorporated early into campaign planning and aligned with creative, marketing, and operational timelines
• Coordinate platform-specific content, paid media, creator activity, fan communications, and other digital touchpoints across each campaign
• Work closely with artist and tour teams to support ticket sales, release consumption, and other campaign goals
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, or audience growth at a record label, artist management company, or comparable music-industry role
• Proven experience building and/or leading a team, with a hands-on, lead-by-example leadership style
• Strong background in digital advertising and paid social, including agency/vendor management
• Experience with e-commerce and merch marketing, ideally including high-value drops
• Experience with tour marketing and ticket sales campaigns
• Data-driven approach, with experience building fan/audience data systems and using them to inform strategy
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, still-forming digital infrastructure
• Genuine passion for and fluency in electronic/dance music culture
• Proficient in Google Workspace; experience with Notion or similar tools is an asset
• Comfortable managing distributed/remote teams across time zones
