Job Title: Day-to-Day Artist Manager
As a Day-to-Day Artist Manager, you will serve as a trusted partner and primary point of contact for an assigned roster of artists. Working closely with senior management, you will translate long-term career strategies into organized, thoughtful, and effective daily execution.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role that touches nearly every area of an artist’s business, including recording and releases, touring, marketing, digital strategy, publicity, merchandise, brand partnerships, finances, and general artist operations.
You will help connect the artist, internal River House teams, and external business partners keeping everyone aligned, anticipating needs, solving problems, and ensuring projects move forward at the highest level.
The Job
• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned artists, responding to needs and maintaining clear, consistent communication.
• Work alongside senior management to develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for each artist’s career.
• Maintain artist calendars, schedules, priorities, deadlines, and project timelines, ensuring information remains current and accessible to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate communication among artists, managers, agents, record labels, publishers, attorneys, business managers, publicists, promoters, creative partners, brand partners, and touring personnel.
• Manage the daily execution of single, EP, and album campaigns, including timelines, deliverables, assets, approvals, and communication across the artist’s team.
• Collaborate with label, marketing, digital, publicity, radio, and creative teams to ensure campaigns are cohesive, properly supported, and aligned with the artist’s vision.
• Organize and distribute music, artwork, photography, video, biographies, press materials, metadata, credits, and other campaign assets.
• Coordinate recording sessions, rehearsals, photo and video shoots, promotional appearances, interviews, content days, and special events.
• Support touring and live activity by coordinating with agents, promoters, tour managers, production teams, and other partners on announcements, schedules, travel, advancing, and artist needs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed itineraries, day sheets, meeting agendas, project recaps, and action-item lists.
• Travel as needed to support and represent artists at meetings, performances, promotional events, shoots, and other key activities.
• Help identify, evaluate, and advance opportunities involving brand partnerships, sponsorships, collaborations, merchandise, content, and other artist-led initiatives.
• Assist with merchandise and direct-to-consumer projects, including product planning, approvals, launch timelines, inventory communication, and partner coordination.
• Build, maintain, and track project budgets, expenses, invoices, financial approvals, and settlement information in coordination with senior management and business managers.
• Route contracts, deal information, and supporting materials to the appropriate management, legal, and financial partners while tracking related deadlines and deliverables.
• Provide quality control across artist-facing communications, materials, and content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and brand alignment.
• Keep artists and senior management informed through regular status updates, project reports, and clear identification of outstanding decisions or action items.
• Anticipate needs, identify potential problems before they escalate, and bring a calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach to unexpected situations.
• Maintain organized and accurate digital records, contact lists, project files, calendars, and other management resources.
• Handle confidential artist, company, financial, and business information with the highest level of discretion.
• Represent The House Management, River House Artists, and its clients professionally and thoughtfully in every interaction.
• Remain flexible and available when artist needs, travel, performances, or time-sensitive projects require work outside traditional office hours.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Direct experience working for an artist management company or supporting an artist management team.
• Experience working with country, Americana, Christian, or adjacent genres.
• Hands-on experience supporting release campaigns, tours, promotional appearances, or major artist projects.
• Familiarity with artist, tour, and project-management platforms.
• Experience with merchandise, direct-to-consumer operations, brand partnerships, digital marketing, or audience development.
• Experience working with major-label, independent-label, or distribution partners.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in music business, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
**Applicant Requirements **
• You have 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in artist management, label services, touring, live entertainment, artist marketing, or another closely related area of the music business.
• You have a strong working knowledge of the modern music industry and understand how management, labels, agents, publishers, attorneys, business managers, publicists, promoters, and touring teams work together.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple artists, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
• You are proactive and naturally look ahead, anticipating what an artist or project may need before being asked.
• You possess excellent project-management skills and consistently follow through on details, deadlines, and commitments.
• You communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently with artists, executives, colleagues, and external partners.
• You have strong emotional intelligence and can navigate different personalities, sensitive conversations, and high-pressure situations with empathy and sound judgment.
• You are comfortable building and maintaining budgets, tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and working with detailed financial information.
• You are proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, shared calendars, and project-management systems.
• You are adaptable, resourceful, and able to make thoughtful decisions when priorities shift or unexpected issues arise.
• You understand the importance of confidentiality and can be trusted with sensitive personal, creative, financial, and business information.
• You are passionate about artist development and motivated by helping artists turn their creative vision into sustainable, long-term careers.
• You live in the Nashville area and have reliable transportation.
• You are willing and able to travel and work outside standard office hours when artist activities require it.
