Community & Engagement Manager - House/EDM Artist (Fully Remote, Team is NYC Based))

Freelance/Contract

Remote

Up to USD 3000.00

Salary: Up to USD 3000.00 monthly

Category: Artist/Label Services

Looking for a **community and fan engagement manager - focused on social media community management **to join a specific artist team long term (if it’s a good fit). This is a competitively paid position and consistent - not a one-off gig, with real room for growth and development. Come be a part of something great!
Female Artist, House/Melodic House: House/melodic house music producer, real momentum, real fans. ~20K on Instagram, ~15K on TikTok, and the fan engagement is robust and genuine - not bought, not bot-inflated. Upcoming live shows are pulling 3–4K+ people and the rooms are getting bigger every cycle. We’re at the point where the DMs, comments, and community touch points have outgrown what we can personally handle, and we need someone who can step in and treat this audience like the asset it is.
Artist is one of a kind when it comes to engaging with her fans! She responds to every DM and creates personal rapport with each individual. No matter what, she wants to maintain the authenticity and love for her fans that have been with her every step of the journey!
**Please note: **working in a very artist facing role, and in house music in general, is very much an "always on" role! If you are comfortable with odd hours, ad hoc requests and meetings, and not having a set in stone routine/hours, then this is for you!
What you’d actually be doing:
• Managing DMs and comments across IG (primary platform) and TikTok daily - not just replying, but actually building rapport with the regulars, identifying superfans, flagging anything that needs my attention & consistently syncing with our team on a weekly basis for updates.
• Helping shape the community strategy: what conversations we’re starting, how we’re showing up between releases, how we turn passive followers into people who show up to shows and pre-save day one
• Coordinating with me and the artist on tone, voice, and what’s on-brand vs. off
• Tracking what’s working - not vanity metrics, but the stuff that actually correlates with ticket sales, streams, and repeat engagement
• Spotting opportunities in the comments and DMs (UGC, fan stories, potential collabs, press, etc.) and surfacing them
• Running social media giveaways promoting new merch lines and unreleased music
• Consistently ideate on new ways to develop the fanbase, become more efficient and streamlined with our fan engagement while maintaining strong fan relationships
What we need from you:
• Real music industry experience. House/dance is a huge plus. If you’ve never worked with a dance artist, then please be able to show very relevant experience.
• Examples of artists or individuals / brands you’ve actually worked with and what the results were. I want to see tangibles - accounts you’ve managed, communities you’ve built, campaigns you’ve been part of.
• Your point of view on what community management actually means in 2026. I want to learn about what it means to you and why it matters!
• Available consistently - this isn’t a project, it’s an ongoing relationship. I want someone who’s going to actually care about this artist’s career, is passionate about developing this buisness lane, and wants to be a part of something great!
How to apply (read this part carefully):
• Make the subject of your email application submission: "Community Manager - Application." Start your email message with the word “polaroids” so I know you read the whole post. I need authentic applications!
• Tell me one artist or project you’ve worked on from a community & fan engagement standpoint, what you did, and a specific outcome. Numbers if you have them, but a real story is better than fake metrics.
• Tell me one thing you’d want to know about the artist before you’d feel confident pitching a strategy.
• What does community management mean to you? Why is it important? Why are you passionate about building communities and fostering authentic fan engagement?
• What’s your availability and in what kind of environment do you feel you work the best?
