ARTIST MANAGER & BOOKING AGENT SOUGHT — ETHNOSONIC

Freelance/Contract

Remote

Category: Artist Management

Imagine a fierce Caucasian mountain dance opens the set. Pulse already racing. Then a single Armenian duduk note stops the room — and suddenly you're inside something 2,000 years old. Then, without warning, a Scottish lament rebuilt into something wild.
That's Ethnosonic — a Toronto seven-piece and the only duduk-led jazz fusion ensemble in the world.
In our first year: two sold-out headline concerts, an all-time tip record at Drom Taberna, a performance at Hugh's Room Live, debut album ONE, an Ontario Arts Council grant, and 18.3K YouTube subscribers. We are now preparing our second album, building toward international touring, and ready to compete on the global festival stage.
We are looking for a dedicated Artist Manager & Booking Agent to help us get there.

THE ROLE
At this stage, the role combines artist management and booking. As the band scales, responsibilities and compensation will be structured accordingly.
You will be the strategic and operational business partner for Ethnosonic, working directly with Duduk House — the production company behind the band. You will have full autonomy once you understand the band, our vision, and our schedule.
Year 1 priorities:
• Grow our paid show frequency in Canada and the USA
• Build and execute a comprehensive festival submission pipeline for 2027 — including WOMEX, WOMAD, Globalfest, and major world music circuits in North America and Europe
• Co-produce and project-manage our headline winter 2027 concert
• Refine and deploy our EPK and press materials across key industry channels

WHAT WE OFFER
• Commission: 15–20% of gross
• Current show fees range from $800–$7,000, with strong upside as bookings scale
• Associate Producer credit on Ethnosonic's second album
• Co-branding rights — your name attached to a globally unique, internationally positioned act
• International touring opportunities as the band scales
• A professional infrastructure: established website, EPK, OAC funding, and a track record
• Full festival and venue contact lists across Canada and the USA provided

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You don't need a decade of experience — you need passion, hustle, and a genuine connection to what Ethnosonic is doing. A background in artist management, booking, world music, jazz, folk, or cross-cultural projects is a strong asset. What matters most is that you hear this music and immediately understand its global potential.
You are organized, proactive, relationship-driven, and comfortable working remotely with a creative team.
