Member Manager / A&R
Green Tea Distribution (GTD) is looking for a highly organized, personable, music-obsessed Member Manager / A&R to work directly with our community of independent artists.
This is a hands-on member-facing role. You’ll be responsible for building relationships with GTD members, helping artists get the most out of the platform, providing thoughtful A&R feedback, and creating programming that keeps our community engaged and moving forward.

What You’ll Do
• Provide written A&R feedback on songs submitted through the GTD A&R portal
• Take daily member calls covering music, release strategy, career questions, and the GTD platform
• Communicate directly with members through our platform and provide timely, thoughtful support
• Demo and explain the GTD product, making sure members understand the tools, resources, and opportunities available to them
• Host weekly A&R sessions on Zoom, listening to music and giving live feedback
• Host regular office hours where members can drop in for questions and guidance
• Help develop and execute member programming, including workshops, artist conversations, educational sessions, and community initiatives
• Identify strong artists and music emerging from the GTD community and communicate opportunities internally
• Work closely with the GTD team to improve the member experience based on recurring questions and feedback
Who We’re Looking For
You should be someone who genuinely loves discovering music and working with artists, but also enjoys the relationship-management side of the business.
The ideal candidate:
• Has a strong ear for music and can give constructive, actionable feedback
• Understands the modern independent music landscape, including streaming, releases, marketing, distribution, and artist development
• Is extremely comfortable speaking with artists on calls and on camera
• Communicates clearly and professionally in writing
• Is organized enough to manage a large number of ongoing member relationships
• Can make artists feel heard while still being direct and realistic
• Is comfortable learning software and walking members through a digital product
• Takes initiative and can develop ideas for programming rather than waiting to be told what to do
• Is reliable, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
Experience
Music industry experience is strongly preferred. Experience in A&R, artist management, label services, distribution, artist development, or music-tech customer success would be especially relevant.
We care more about your taste, communication skills, work ethic, and ability to connect with artists than having a traditional corporate résumé.
