**About this role: **This person is the glue between the artistic vision, operational execution, and businessmetrics of a label. They’ll help shepherd release workflows, support talent discovery & development,manage admin/logistics, and interface across marketing, legal, distribution, and finance. In a mid-sizedlabel and publisher, they will have both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
**Administrative & Operational **
● Serve as a point of liaison between A&R, marketing, legal, finance, distribution, partnerships, and external parties
● Manage budgets and expense tracking for artist projects
● Oversee contract administration for A&R projects (deal memos, licensing, producer agreements) ● Maintain database(s) of artist contacts, recordings, publishing splits, royalty reporting support
● Coordinate travel, scheduling, meetings, and logistics for label/A&R team and artist engagements
**Release & Project Management **
● Create and manage timelines (“roadmaps”) for releases (singles, EPs, albums, deluxe editions)
● Track deliverables, deadlines, dependencies, and make sure cross-departmental handoffs are smooth
● Ensure content (masters, assets, metadata) is delivered to DSPs, distributors, and platforms
● Monitor campaign progress, report on release metrics (streams, playlist adds, radio, sales)
● Troubleshoot issues (deliverables delays, legal clearances, creative changes)
● Coordinate studio scheduling, session logistics, sample clearances, and budget oversight for recording
Strategic & Business Support **
● Analyze past releases & market data to inform future signings, campaign strategy, and A&R direction
● Provide insight on market trends, fan consumption behavior, DSP programming opportunities
● Recommend potential partnerships, sync/licensing opportunities, or expansion areas
● Occasionally represent the team in industry events, panels, showcases
Requirements **
● 2–4+ years of experience in A&R, label operations, project management, or related music business role
● Strong organizational, multi-tasking, project management skills, and data inputting
● Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to negotiate & liaise with stakeholders
● Familiarity with the music industry ecosystem: DSPs, distribution, royalties, licensing, publishing
● Passion for music and keen ear for talent, songwriting, trends
● Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
● Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Airtable, etc.), Google Suite / Microsoft Office
● Some budget management experience, basic financial literacy
● Networked in the music industry (producers, songwriters, managers) preferred
● Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Business, or related preferred

**Nashville: **$19/hour - 24/hour
**Miami: **$21/hour –$26/hour
