Overview:
PRS for Music operates at the centre of the UK music industry and is one of the leading music rights organisations globally. We grow and protect the value of rights entrusted to us, distributing royalties with market leading transparency and efficiency when music is performed, broadcast, streamed, downloaded, reproduced, played in public or used in film and TV.
The role:
This role reports directly into the Head of Data Privacy Operations and will support the wider Data Protection team in ensuring that the processing of personal data is in compliance with the regulatory requirements and internal policies.
The role holder will support various data privacy processes, and provide training, guidance and support to teams across the business on data privacy requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Data Protection team with maturity of data privacy programme, including rollout of a privacy management platform, process review and improvement, programme governance and implementation of KPI reporting for senior management
• Reviewing and advising on initial data protection assessments
• Management of data subject right requests, including reviewing documentation and drafting responses, and working with external law firms where required
• Leading investigations into data incidents/breaches, conducting related assessments and, where applicable, coordinating ICO and 3rd party notifications.
• Assist with developing and delivering data protection training and awareness initiatives across the business
• Supporting maintenance of register of processing activities and other data protection compliance documentation
• Collaborating with Legal, Cyber Security, Data Governance, Risk Management and other departments to continuously improve PRS’s privacy and security postures.
• Providing administrative support to the relevant governance forums in relation to preparing content, managing minutes and follow-up actions.

The Process
Our interview process for this role is simple:
• First stage interview will take place virtually on MS Teams.
• Second stage interview will take place in person at our London Bridge Hub.

Location
We offer a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work from home up to three days a week.
