Job Summary:

The Ministry & Media Center Coordinator (MMCC) supports the daily operations of Hope Media Group’s headquarters and serves as the “ambassador of first impressions” for all who visit or call. This role ensures a welcoming, hospitable, and efficient environment for guests, team members, ministry partners, and the public. The MMCC oversees front desk operations, office administration, visitor logistics, and supports HR and Volunteer Services initiatives. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a heart for ministry.

Essential Functions

Team Member & Guest Relations
• Greet and welcome all guests and team members warmly, representing Hope Media Group’s culture and core virtues.
• Manage front desk phone operations: answer calls, direct inquiries, and ensure prompt responses.
• Oversee visitor check-ins, security protocols, and ensure hosts are notified.
• Provide reception coverage during regular business hours and events as needed.

Office Administration & Logistics
• Coordinate mail distribution, receive deliveries, and manage shipping needs.
• Ensure a clean, organized front lobby and common spaces.
• Order and maintain office supplies, snacks, and branded materials.
• Schedule meeting rooms and manage calendars for shared spaces.
• Monitor and support office equipment and supplies (copiers, phones, etc.).
• Serve as liaison for building and facilities management needs (e.g., maintenance requests, access issues, etc.).
HR & Volunteer Program Support
• Assist in onboarding logistics for new hires and volunteers (e.g., new hire swag, access credentials, etc.).
• Help maintain HR and volunteer records, files, and background check processing.
• Support training coordination and material preparation.
• Ensure data accuracy and perform updates in HR and volunteer systems (e.g., HRIS System, VSys One).
• Run reports as requested and assist in gathering metrics for departmental dashboards.
• Help manage ID badge creation and system access control.
• Provide administrative support for volunteer engagement activities and events.

Event & Ministry Support
• Assist with in-office and off-site ministry events, including preparation and set-up.
• Support coordination of teamwide prayer, devotionals, or team member celebrations.
• Serve as backup support for the receptionist during extended absences.

Demonstrated Faith
• Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.
• Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
• Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
• Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
• Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
• Exhibits a strong moral character.
• Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.
Non Essential Duties:

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:
• Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related degree preferred, OR equivalent experience providing HR, administrative, and volunteer program management support. 
Experience:
• 2+ years in an entry-level HR, administrative, front office, or guest relations role.
• 1+ years of experience coordinating volunteer programs, preferably in a ministry or nonprofit environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work on-site Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
• Demonstrated alignment with Hope Media Group’s mission and core virtues.
• Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with grace.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and basic familiarity with CRM or HRIS platforms.
• Calm under pressure and skilled in conflict de-escalation and problem-solving.
• Able to handle confidential information with extreme discretion.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
• Heart for ministry and alignment with Christian values and mission of Hope Media Group.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• None

Working Conditions and Environment

Travel:
• Moderate, mostly within the Houston Metro Area.

Nights/Weekends/Holidays:
• Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday on site; may include occasional evenings or weekends to support events or special needs.

If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
