E1 is one of London’s most renowned electronic music venues and event spaces. We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented Office Manager & Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of the business.
The Role
This is a finance-led role with office management responsibilities, ideal for someone confident in taking ownership of bookkeeping processes while ensuring the office operates efficiently.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow management, and keeping internal operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with senior management and external accountants.
Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping & Financial Administration (Core Focus)
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including purchase and sales ledger
Process invoices, expenses, and supplier payments accurately and on time
Reconcile bank accounts and ensure financial records are up to date
Assist with payroll preparation and liaise with external accountants
Support monthly reporting, budget tracking, and cash flow visibility
Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial documentation Office Management & Operations
Oversee day-to-day office operations, including supplies and facilities, deliveries acceptance
Maintain organised filing systems and internal records
Act as a key point of contact for staff, suppliers, and visitors
Support event teams with administrative coordination where required
Identify and implement improvements to office systems and processes
Team Support
Work closely with operations, sales, and finance teams
Support internal communication and coordination
Assist with general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects Requirements
Essential
• Strong bookkeeping experience (minimum 3 years) - This is critical
AAT Level 3 (or higher), or equivalent accounting knowledge
Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
Confident with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Right to work in the UK
Desirable
Experience in events, hospitality, or creative industries
Experience in a nightclub, late bar, or live events venue
Experience supporting finance in a small or growing business
Salary & Benefits
£32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
